1. How do I buy ICEvision?
   You can purchase a monthly or annual subscription using VISA or Mastercard. If you would like to ask about alternative ways to pay, please contact icevisionsupport@ice-edge.com
2. It says I'm logged in, but I can't do anything
   When you registered your email address with us, we sent you a welcome email that contains your temporary credentials and a link to activate your account. Before you can use ICEvision, you must activate your account. To activate your account please click here.
3. I forgot my password, what should I do?
   Click here, or you can contact us at icevisionsupport@ice-edge.com with your login email address.
4. Installing and enabling Java
   ICEvision requires Java 1.5 or higher to be installed and enabled on your browser. To install Java, please click here.
5. I have Java installed, but it's not working!
   Please ensure that Java is enabled on your browser. For help with enabling java in your browser, please click here.
   Additionally, you may need to clear your cache. For help with clearing your java cache, please click here.
6. What is the file extension "jnlp"?
   "jnlp" stands for Java Network Launching Protocol. Java is required to run this file type.
7. What ports do I need to allow for ICEvision to run?
   ICEvision requires outbound TCP ports 10022 and 10023 to be open for connections through a firewall.
8. I have a Mac with the latest software updates, why won't ICEvision run?
   Make sure you meet the minimum hardware requirements. Java 6 may need to be enabled. In Finder->Applications expand "Utilities->Java". Open Java Preferences, make sure Java SE 6 64-bit is first in the "Java application versions" list (it is recommend you actually do this for both, although not necessary), if not drag it to the top of the list and close Java Preferences.
9. I have a 3DConnexion mouse, why doesn' it work?
   We have recently upgraded the driver for the 3D mouse to improve performance and reliability. To use the 3D mouse open "View" and choose "Connect 3D Navigator".
10. I have a 64 bit system, can I use ICEvision?
    Yes. You must be a subscriber. Click to access the ICEvision 64 bit Launcher.
11. I'm still having problems viewing and publishing large files with my 64 bit system.
    If you have additional memory available, try allocating more memory to ICEvision using the ICEvision 64 bit Launcher. If you need help on memory allocation, contact support at icevisionsupport@ice-edge.com.
12. My screen is flickering.
    • If you experience flickering in the ICEvision window, please update the driver for your graphics card to the most recent update.
    • If you are using an nVidia graphics card and still experience flickering after updating your driver, restoring default settings and then turning off Threaded Optimization and Unified Back/Depth Buffer may resolve these issues.

13. I clicked "Capture" in the ICEvision menu, in AutoCAD/Revit/Google Sketchup Pro and nothing happened!
    • Please make sure you have started the correct ICEvision version and have logged in. If you are using AutoCAD or Google Sketchup Pro, make sure you select "Connect" before you run the "Capture".
    • Some larger designs may take a minute or two to fully render. Remember this is a 3D environment and some designs are not created at ground level (for example, if you designed only the 15th floor of a building) - try moving or looking up!
14. I could view my designs yesterday, but not today. What happened?
    • If you are a subscriber and your subscription period expires, your designs will no longer be available. If you re-subscribe they will be available again.
    • If you are a viewer, the individual sharing their design with you may have removed your name from the shared list.
15. How do I move around?

    ICEvision supports keyboard, mouse and 3D mouse for moving around your design.

16. What are the minimum system requirements to run ICEvision?

    Below is a list of the minimum requirements to run ICEvision. Contact icevisionsupport@ice-edge.com with any questions. Computers which do not meet these requirements may not be supported.

    Software Requirements

    • AutoCAD Architecture 2009/2010, Revit Architecture 2009/2010 or Google SketchUp Pro 7

    Desktop System Requirements

    • Pentium™ IV 2.8 GHz
    • 2GB RAM
    • 3D Hardware Accelerated Video Card (DirectX 9.0 compatible)
    • Recommended chipsets include:
      • ATI Radeon 9600 or better (AGP)
      • ATI Radeon X600 or better (PCIe)
      • NVidia Quadro4
      • NVidia GForce 6600 or better
    • OpenGL 1.4 or higher
    • Java runtime environment, version 1.5 or higher. You can get it here.

    Laptop System Requirements

    • Pentium™ M 1.8 GHz
    • 2GB RAM
    • 3D Hardware Accelerated Video Card (DirectX 9.0 compatible)
    • Recommended chipsets include:
      • ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 or better (AGP)
      • NVidia Quadro FX Go
      • NVidia GeForce Go 6800 or better
    • OpenGL 1.4 or higher
    • Java runtime environment, version 1.5 or higher. You can get it here.

    Mac Requirements

    • Intel Core Duo or newer
    • Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or higher
    • Java runtime environment 1.5 or higher - available through software update
    • Minimum 2GB Ram

    *NOTE: You will only be able to view designs shared with you. If you are a subscriber you can safely run either ICEvision AutoCAD, ICEvision Revit, ICEvision for Google SketchUp Pro 7 or ICEvision for ICEbox to view designs.

17. Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
    Yes, you may cancel a paid account at any time. If you cancel your account with us, your account will remain active for the remainder of the term for which you paid and will then be converted to a free account. No refunds will be given.
